Grunewald Jonas
University of Antwerp,
Belgium
Grunewald Jonas currently works as a physiotherapist specializing in neurological disorders at the Hersenletselpraktijk in Ghent, Belgium. He obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Antwerp, where he investigated white matter microstructural integrity in stroke patients.
Jonas is deeply passionate about neurorehabilitation and the application of neuroanatomical biomarkers in clinical care. In addition to his clinical work in private practice, he actively contributes to neuroscience research. His long-term ambition is to foster a strong and meaningful translation between research findings and clinical practice.
Keynote Speaker

Dr. Mohammad Sendi
Assistant Neuroscientist at McLean Hospital and an Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, USA
Dr. Mohammad Sendi is an Assistant Neuroscientist at McLean Hospital and an Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on neuromodulation, neural dynamics, and machine-learning–driven experimental design, with the aim of developing personalized, mechanism-based interventions for neuropsychiatric disorders. His work spans neuroimaging, brain network modeling, computational psychiatry, and neuromodulation, integrating in silico modeling, in vivo experimentation, and clinical translation. Dr. Sendi’s contributions have been recognized with multiple competitive honors and earlycareer awards, including the BBRF Young Investigator Award (2025–2027), the Donald F. Klein Early Career Investigator Award from the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), the Livingston Fellowship Award from Harvard Medical School, and the Alies Muskin Career Development Leadership Program Award (ADAA). His research has also been recognized by professional societies, including the Society for Neuroscience and the International Society for Neurofeedback & Research. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a distinction awarded to researchers with demonstrated professional and scientific impact, and an active member of the Scientific Council of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), contributing to interdisciplinary initiatives at the interface of neuroscience, genetics, and mental health.
Young Research Forum

Dr. Jaime Sánchez Orgaz, PhD
European Neuroscience Center, International University of Catalonia, and Antonio de Nebrija University
Dr. Jaime Sánchez Orgaz is a physiotherapist specializing in neurorehabilitation and invasive physiotherapy. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the International University of Catalonia (UIC) and works at the European Neuroscience Center (CEN), a leading institution in neurorehabilitation research and clinical care. As an active member of the CenResearch group, Dr. Sánchez Orgaz focuses on integrating neuromodulation techniques to enhance motor recovery in patients with upper motor neuron lesions. Additionally, he lectures at Antonio de Nebrija University and Alfonso X El Sabio University (UAX) in Madrid. His work bridges the gap between research and clinical practice, with a strong interest in developing innovative interventions to improve motor function and quality of life in neurological patients.
